According to news from the State Council’s press conference, until March 26, China has implemented anti-epidemic assistance to 89 countries and 4 international organizations in 4 batches. In terms of geographical distribution, China has provided emergency assistance to 28 Asian countries, 16 European countries, 26 African countries, 9 American countries, and 10 South Pacific countries. The target of assistance includes not only countries with severe epidemic situations but also countries with weak public health systems and epidemic prevention capabilities. The assistance methods include medical assistance and medical technical assistance. The aid mainly include testing reagents, masks, protective clothing, isolation goggles, frontal temperature guns, medical gloves, shoe covers, and ventilator. Medical technical assistance mainly takes the form of dispatching medical expert groups to carry out experience exchanges and provide diagnosis and treatment suggestions.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, until March 25, China has successively cooperated with more than 100 countries in Northeast Asia, South Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and South Pacific, as well as ASEAN, AU. International organizations such as the OECD and CARICOM held nearly 20 expert video conferences.
